RE- "Let's get back to basics and start worshiping trees, nature, the sky, the sun and such" It is religion that causes the killing etc, not who you worship. If we worshipped nature the "tree worshippers" would start to kill the "sky worshippers" and the "sun worshippers" would split into two groups with slightly different views on how to worship the sun, and start fighting each other.
