These players are not athletes as much as they are so-called "business" men. That I respect. However, they are demanding too much.

The latest figures show that they want 1.5 billion dollars worth of revenue out of a possible 2 billion dollar pie. They can go fuck themselves real hard and deep in their respective asses.

If I was an owner of a franchise, I would tell them 1.2 billion MAX.

People, think about it. 1.2 billion represents $40 million per team. That allows ownership to make money. They do after all own the team. They paid money for the franchise. They are entitled to make the most money, the largest return on investment.

I have been to other sports boards and stuff and I wouldn't mind watching replacement players to be quite honest. Afterall, the NHLPA did go over to other leagues around the world and put other people out of work so they got it coming to them. Big Time.

I will never watch another NHL hockey game no matter what. I said that in 1994 and i will re-interate it again. And I don't care if Boston or Toronto win the next 100 years worth of cups.

I've said my piece.

Oh man, I completely agree with you on the 'going to far' thing. I think the best thing the NFL ever did was to have the salary cap and for the reason they had to do it. The players still make a LOT of money and fans can actually afford seats.... they may be in the nosebleed sections, but they are there.and the teams are competitive. I know for me that hockey is a much more exciting sport for me to watch then any other. yeah, I like and miss football when the season is over (miss it that is) but hockey is the f0 shizzle to me heh heh And I got to be honest. Living in the absolute back woods of Kentucky, watching ESPns coverage of the NHL is the ONLY way I will see any hockey, so i really want them to get this crap straightened out and just play!
