I feel uneasy with us branding anything Russian as bad too... I like most Russian people I have met... and I'd be damn offended if I was a Russian and read some of the stuff we say as throw-a-way lines here at times.
(I'm not suggesting it's a racism or hate issue... with so many problems coming from that area it's definitely become a business decision.)
