We have been running and promoting personality based sites "amateur sites” since we started in 1999. I find the personality part helps and retain members, it seems members will cancel within the first 2 days or stay 4+ months.
They are not a new thing at all, amateur sites were some of the first on the net, it’s just now all the big sponsors are spitting out their versions, with hired models.
