Yes I do know how to spell colour 
I have in my 2001 diary a list of colours which I wrote down when I saw a site which had carried out research into how people react to background colours on web sites in general.
I've lost the bookmark on an old machine.... but here's what I wrote down.
Blue
soothing, calming, ant-stress, tranquility
Green
fresh, clean, environmental
Purple
sexy
Red
exciting
Black
cool, powerful, techie
White
business like, clean
I am currently trying to figure out which is easiest to read - black text on white, or white text on black.
What do ya think?
