Good Day Folks
My day started fine at midnight per usual. Around 3:30 am my dsl went out. Tried the support tool and finally called SBC who informed me that my "area" was down. Said someone would contact me in about 4 hours after reporting the issue.
Well I have very limited patience and I have been planning on giving a cable modem a try. So when 9am rolled around and they still were down I stove over to Comcast to pick up my new modem and connecting hardware.
I plug everything in and it doesn't work. So I called the toll free Comcast number to speak with tech support and got this gal from India. Thick accent and talked very fast. After about 20 mins with her I told her fuck it I'm taking it back.
I played with it a bit more and suddenly the lights came back on. I tried the install CD and got the same error as before. So holding my breath I punch redial hoping I don't get the same idiot.

Viola I get someone from Canada who is a really savvy gal and after 30 mins of resetting everything by hand my cable modem now works.
So guess what kind of day I had up until now? Yup stressful as hell!!!
