Google uses the # of inbound links to a given page as one measure of said page's relevance. If all of a sudden those links disappear the page's relevance may drop.

This is something I read a few weeks ago. If this is true (and I don't see why it wouldn't be) I'd avoid submitting to many link dumps. I use them once in a while to experiment with traffic but that's about it.

yep that's true, google doesn't really like linkdumps, in fact it does more harm than good
