javascript is no problem for Google - hasnt been for two years - but Im sure they tell you that frames are no good too
I can show you top 25 listings that are nothing but script generated BS misspelled, no grammer, and no context text that works just fine - people just try to outguess things that are already facts but need something to blame their failures on.
That said - having properly formatted/validated pages does make a difference - but then there is just one more thing that we've always said here.
