I agree, you need to contrast the text. In art class they go over this pretty hard and how it really effects the end users reaction to what you are selling.

Red and black are good, but red and pink are a hard sell. Stick with the KISS rule. "Keep it simple stupid" whites, blacks, reds, blues, green, yellows etc.That orange is fine but white and black and yellow are really the only things what I think will work with it.
