Actually, this has been under discussion in all departments. Those of us who teach at UW and use live stream for those students who subscribe to the classes over the net. We also archive those classes because some are used for research purposes, think tanks etc. it would literally shut down places like the University of Phoenix with 98% of it's students taking classes from the net.
One of the other professors here is also involved in the porn industry from the technical side and without "outting" either of us, brought forth the possibilities in one of his team meetings in 'geekdomme". Several of the members also work for Microsoft, Amazon, and several other major corporations that could be impacted.
I totally agree that it is in our best interest to bring this issue to as much mainstream as possible, especially on an institutional level. All we need is 1 time for Acacia to say, ok you are exempt and their whole arguement will collapse.
