First off, I certainly wasn't trying to break your spirit...far from it. I was trying to speak up for you that you're an honest submitter who made a mistake. While at the same time letting you know that what you were doing isn't acceptable.
But, referring to lists that are new or not sending much traffic yet as 'smaller crappier LLs' is not a good way to make friends an influence people. Most folks work very hard on their link sites and to some extent...you just slapped a lot of them in the face.
