Ohhh! WoW! I've been so busy and the news has been all about those rascals and their politricks that I forgot about the last hurricane. There are so many disasters everywhere you start to get numb. I'm so sorry for you and I know (sort of) what your going through. Yeck

I'm from the other side, Sorrysota and we were always so smug because the bad stuff never really came into the bay. I lived on the water and my house was at the top of the block with a 12 ft elevation and the water always came up the street and religiously stopped at my neighbors house. They were good people but I knew they just hated me. How is Ft. Meyer's, Naples, in the same state you are?

My last experience was like what 83, 84? Hurricane came cut K C key in half. My friend never saw his 3 mil (in 84 dollars) house again.

So I'm walking along the Chicago lakefront late at night about a month ago with my german shepherd who is very big, bold, and fearless. All of sudden in the still of the night he gives a yelp and jumps straight up into the air. I of course nearly have a heart attack myself. After thirty seconds of trying to figure out what the hell.. I turn and can see in the moonlight TWO HUGE (lynx size) racoons and just sitting there looking at us like how dare we distrub them with no intention of moving. Now we have some football sized rats who are bold here but I've never seen anything like that. Needless to say, we turned direction and went back the way we came. The dog wouldn't stop looking behind for two blocks
