I don't even have an other links category, killed it over a year ago.
I have a trade table for a few select other lists, but it is run by a scripts so unless you have some traffic to send chances are you are not going to end up in the table.
Once in a great while I'll do category link trades with another lists that has a decent PR and I've known them either in person or on the boards for an extended time. Actually I would probably prefer to get a bikini waxing then sit there setting up category link trades.
My suggestion to you Platman is to fill up the list with sponsor's galleries and sites and then start putting exit links on everything you build that sends the surfer to your list. Over time you will build up traffic including SE traffic. Over time you will probably even pick up a decent PR on it.
By that time you should be making some money and will be able to buy a script for it and open it up to submissions.
People will even be willing to submit stuff to you and give you a recip since you will have some traffic by then.
