If I submit a free site and it gets accepted on a Monday, on AVERAGE, how long will that site see traffic for?

Is their an average "lifespan" of a free site receiving traffic? i.e. Do most link lists keep them up for more than 1 day and if so, what percentage of the 1st days traffic do the 2nd, 3rd, and so on see?
