The total amount of text isn't what we were referring to, it's just the fact that all the text is linked. You can have tons of well written sales text on a site and make it look great, but the issue starts to crop up when entire paragraphs are linked. I (and I'm pretty sure MrYum) were referring to the main page. Feel free to use all the longwinded write-ups you like, but they'll be more effective as advertising if the whole paragraph isn't linked. Big blocks of linked text are difficult to read, especially with a big mouseover color change. Suck them into what you're writing with something easy to read, then give them a link to click at the bottom of the paragraph.
In any case, that was just friendly advice...I'd still list the site with that whole paragraph linked, since it doesn't rise to the level of "godawful" that I will decline for...just think it would be more effective as advertising as described above
