I do not normally use Safari I'm a Mozilla user, but I did just try it in Safari and yeah it doesn't work, just keeps on asking for the user ID/Password over and over again. The worse part is even hitting cancel doesn't help and you end up having to force quit Safai.
Personally I wish that Apple had based their browser on Mozilla code and not KDE's code, but I don't run Apple, just get paid to support its product.
