Well I can't tell you about blogs. But from my experience dealing with FS and submitting for my own paysite. I built a few fs and a couple of gallery pages and have bought traffic.
Gallery pages got me nothing, maybe like 10 visits if I'm lucky. Purchased traffic from choker and pointed to the freesites and got nothing (which freaked me out). All the FS I have submitted to the LL's here have given me sign ups. Now I'm not talking about a ton of sign ups but about 1 sign up for every 30 or so visits. Also keep in mind the sign up at my site is free. But from what I have seen, in the future I will concentrate on mostly FS. 50k worth of traffic from choker got me nothing but visits, not one sign up. FS in my opinon work the best. It has been said someplace that the surfers from FS are better then any other. For me it seems to be true.
