What kinda makes it weird for me is that I remember all of that happening back in the 60s (I was a teen and then in my early 20s in Wash DC) as I was right there in the middle of all of the protests/riots/demonstations/moratoriums etc. I still remember the May day when a bunch of patriots closed down the entire city by closing off all of the bridges with truckloads of thumbtacks and the tear gas that would make you cry your eyes out shot off by the police trying to regain control of the whole downtown area around the Washington monument - and the picture I think that sticks out in my mind the most is being on the mall(a grassy area between the Lincoln Mem. and the Capitol building) and seeing a machine gun nest set up on the steps to the Capitol. What a time it was - but at least then we had Americans who gave a shit about what was happening to their rights - instead of worrying about whether little Johnny is gonna be at soccer practice on time or todays selfish little brats that call themselves parents
Just a bunch of apethetic little fucking whiney babies that wouldnt get off their ass (unless the TIVO was set ahead of time) these days - but then long after Im gone in a few years - they'll find out what happens when you dont defend your own American citizenship
