Flashback to the year 2000. One night I was sitting trying to think of what domain name I would buy first. After making a list and checking whois etc I decied on hmmmm none other than sexpc.com. I thought my what a great name. So I went ahead and started the registration process with a big name registrar.A few days went by and I was not hearing anything so i took another look to see what was going on. What I found was the name listed as registered to the registrar and the very next day transfered to someone in BC Canada. I consider it my first case of being shafted in this biz.
Someone obviously had intercepted the request and thought the same as I did that it had potential.
Just thought I would share that tidbit.
