Emma, having done both, I can tell you that Vegas in the summer is hot like heck but it is tolerable - it is super dry, time spent by the pool is great, and with zero humidity, you can dress nicely for an evening out without worrying about sweating through the cloth before you made it to the destination.

Miami might only be 100, but with near 100% humidity, it drags you down very quickly and makes staying outdoors pretty useless - even mysting systems don't really help.
