.eu domains will in the end probably be worth about what the .info or the .whatever-it-is-this-week is worth - there will always be a new extension to make the old extension look useless.
$10 or whatever you paid for it is what it is worth because it was worth that to you.
IMHO, there is only one .com - everything else is "those other things".
