Good morning world

I was up early, enjoying a cup of coffee, when all of a sudden there was a loud cracking sound. Kind of like big trees or poles being snapped off. Since power went off for 2 seconds and then back on, I thought it was a pole transformer that blew out.

But then the sirens started. And then more sirens, and then even more sirens. It really sounded like they were all coming this way. And then they started turning off US1 onto my street.

Better than 30 police cars, state police cars, fire trucks, fire rescue, county emergency response, even airport security trucks. All swarming down my street one after another, stopping at the stop sign out front, and then zooming away to come to a stop again about 3 blocks away where they all scrambled out of their vehicles.

So I took my coffee, clipped on my sunglasses, and wandered down to see what troubles my neighbors might have caused.

Turned out it wasn't a transformer popping that I heard. It actually was the sound of a couple of poles being snapped off. Poles that the plane hit before crashing nose down in the canal across the street.

So, that was my morning so far. Just a little adventure to start the day.

P.S. I can't believe Cleo didn't have a story to top it.
