Although I feel the same as the other posters in this thread, you have to take the worth of a domain with a grain of salt. I learned this a long time ago when there was only one registrar and even though you had to pay $100/domain, you were able to try before you buy. You would order your domain and they would bill you. I grabbed some good domains back then and asked the prominent domain buyer at the time what they were worth. He told me they were worth the cost of the reg fee. So, I just let them go back without payment and the day they were offered again, he grabbed them. I can't remember most of them but back then, only a few people ever thought domains were going to be worth anything. Most of us laughed at the guy that bought every country name .com I can only imagine what domains like japan.com, italy.com, china.com and all the others sold for.

We weren't alone in our short sided thinking. Even altavista had to buy their domain from someone. That went cheap...I think it was only $3million.

Thinking back...a very good friend used to own helpdesk.com. He sold it for what I believe was a good price at the time. But, I can't help wondering how much IBM would be willing to pay for that today with all their commericals showing a helpdesk.
