A better way is to rename the one that's on the server now first and then upload the one you have on your computer.
If you can't see the .htaccess file, you may need to change some setting(s) on your ftp program to "show invisibles" or something like that. Otherwise you can ask your server techs to swap the files for you. Just upload the file as htaccess_to_use and then they can do the swap for, changing the current htaccess file to htaccess_SB. Those names are just examples, but I hope you get what I mean.
And hopefully Ray will get back to you soon.

Hey Simon, I'm not that

dumb lol ...I renamed it...just like
you said in the first place
I couldn't see the .htaccess on that space but funny I looked in on one of my other sites on the same host and I can see the .htaccess using the same ftp. So I'm not exactly sure what is going on with that.
Since I couldbn't see it throught the ftp I went through the cpanel file manager and worked on it there. I didn't delete or over write anything just named the "_old" back to the main file and the main to sb. Hopefully when Ray has time I'm sure he'll look at it. I just don't want any bastards canceling or whatever because they can't login for a day or two.
Oh and for whomever is reading this this has nothing to do with Strongbox or Ray lol his stuff works great I just needed to get this working.
