I am very new in the business too, and about the templates, this is my plan.... for now....
Make a template for each day until I have 31, thats 1 for everyday of the month, I call them 1 2 3 4 etc. (this is an idea I got from somewhere else on these boards) use 1 on the 1. of the month, 2 on the second etc...
When I have 31 templates, if I see something "cool" and get inspired to make another template (lets just say on the on the 3. of Maj), I would call that template 3-Jan-March-Maj-Juli-Sept-Nov and the old 3 template would be 3-and the rest of the months in the year, that way you keep getting more templates, and eventually in 1000 years or so, you would have a template for each day of the year
Just my idea of how I will do it, it will probably change as I am still new to the business, as I said earlier
