One of my blogs is almost entirely text, I use very very few images in the posts themselves. It's pretty niche specific, which helps obviously, but in my own case, yeah, it does pretty well. That's not to say I don't have links to FHGs/Freesites, just a distinct lack of images apart from some sidebar buttons.

Thanks for the reply Jel, good to hear the text only is working, encouraging. Guess I was wondering as it's been said that guys are more visual, well maybe it's a way to tap the female market...
