Yup, that was me
Two issues here...first and foremost is the sponsor hosting. That will get your sites declined with the majority of link sites. Sponsor hosting is considered the same as free hosting because you have no real control over what they will or will not add to your sites.
As to the SORBS issue, there was another recent thread on this subject. Unfortunately, the other thread didn't really generate the kind of feedback from other reviewers/list owners I'd like to have seen.
As stated in the other thread, my original thinking had been that if someone is spamming...I want nothing to do with them. Also, there's the issue of 'bad neighborhoods' with google. While I have no evidence of google taking that blacklist into consideration, it's also not a risk I'm willing to take. Unless and until, I get more information that there is zero risk involved of the engines using that list to determine bad neighborhoods.
As was revealed in the other thread however, apparently sometimes innocent people get bad IPs which can cause their domain to end up on that list. As was suggested by UW, the resolution for this would appear to be to get a new IP (which is what I suggested to Kate in the mail she received...also that she should consider a good paid host if she wants to get her free sites listed consistently). Getting a new ip shouldn't be a big deal with any reputable host, so this really shouldn't be a significant issue for a submitter to get corrected. Besides, I'd think someone would want to get their domain name off that list if at all possible.
Okay, ALL that said...I just checked your domain again and yes...as of right now...it is showing clear status. I have NO idea why it was showing up on the blacklist when I reviewed the site last night.
Soooo, in synopsis...
Kate, you really do need to get paid hosting if you want to get your free sites listed with the vast majority of link sites
The SORBS list? Honestly, I'm still up in the air on this one. I'll speak to some others and perhaps we'll get some more feedback on the subject in this thread.
As of right now, your domain shows clear...so it's a non-issue. But, if I were you...I'd make getting a paid host top priority and advise your new host that you need a clear ip
