Good Morning all I'm soooooo happy!
I'm back online. My internet slowed down to dialup on Monday. I called, they said it was a tower problem.
By wed, I called back, found out it was ME not the tower, so they scheduled the tech for Friday (today). At that point, I totally lost all internet on my main connection.
My secondary connection was also out. The $500 Cisco bridge I had to buy to get the service 2 1/2 years ago was toast. They replaced it for only $75 with a linksys router configured to work as a bridge then got me back up. (the same one I could have paid $50 for a WalMart) I went to dsl reports and ran a speed test 55k down 26k up. Thanks.
The tech said, I don't put a lot of faith in those tests, I go by ping time. So they pinged their own office, which is like, oh 3 miles from my house? Getting ping times of like 300 - 1000ms. That just makes me feel warm and fuzzy.
So today, the tech for Keyon, my heros, came out and replaced my antenna for FREE, and now my connection speed test is 1.4 down. Whooo HOOOOO!
I just couldn't even stand to go online the last few days with that peice of shit slow internet that was dial up speed. Poor MadHatter has been checking the link lists, about wanting to kill himself waiting for pages to pull up.
But we are back to normal now just in time for the weekend.
