About two months ago we had some really heavy winds... followed by a lot of rain.. so, we had a lot of leaves on the ground and sticks, etc (no, it wasn't a hurricane). So, I woke up in the morning, looked out, the entire street was flooded. I looked behind our house where the canal is that takes the stormwater runoff, and it was pretty dry. We have a storm drain in our front yard, so, I grabbed a rake, walked over to the storm grate, pulled the branches and leaves away from it and the whirlpool started. It was about this time, knee deep in water that I looked down and every spider in the world must have been floating on the water, and grabbed hold of whatever wasn't underwater -- namely my legs. Probably a hundred wolf spiders and those other yellowish spiders we get, fire ants that had been floating on branches that I brushed into, etc. were on my legs and crawling north to stay out of the water. Neighbor's kid across the street looked at her driveway at the dozens of spiders that were lucky enough to hit the driveway and making their migration to 'dry' land and let out a blood curdling scream.

Sweet dreams.

going to see if I can start and finish a ton of code today that I was going to start last night, but got involved in a movie called 'The Island'. You could see Michael Bay's influence, but, the modernized Logans 5 remake wasn't too bad. Entertaining enough that it captured my attention and wasn't just background noise. Damn satellite providers know how to mess up my coding schedule.
