This is more than just a hiccup during a router change. It's their whole business model. They're giving away bandwidth like it's growing on trees. I currently have 2.2 TB/month and they're slapping on an extra 100 or so each month I stay with them. For this I am paying about $230/year. Something's gotta give.
I'm baffled by the comments on their blog. 90% of the posters seem to think DH is the greatest company on earth. Clearly they are not relying on their websites' uptime and performance for a living. Meanwhile DH is making all sorts of excuses blaming CISCO, but no word of compensation to their customers (which eventualy probably
will come...in the form of more bandwidth
).
The sites I have hosted with DH have been running like molasses for the past week or so (when they're up) and I'm being rejected left and right for connection issues, and it's my own damn fault for thinking I could get something for nothing. You get what you pay for. As much as I'd like to go with Colo I simply can't justify the cost right now, but I will get all my shit moved to a better host within the month.
