Yep, 180Solitions became Zango or owns it or some such shit...but they're definitley affiliated.

That site is a great resource to read up on this crap.

This is how these scumbags deliver their traffic and they are stealing sales from all of us!

A guy at another board installed zango on his computer and this is what happens when he clicks the AFF link at hoes.

You and me both! I'd heard of stuff like this too, but had no idea how widespread it was (and getting worse by the day).

Completely agree...damn glad Will is pursuing this

Maybe link lists/tgps/everyone possible could link to such a tool and inform surfers that "you might be getting screwed by adware crap - remove it quickly here", or something.
Just a thought.
From what I've seen so far, no...there is no single tool that will remove it. Apparently running several tools in sequence will do the job though. But, it is an arduous process that most home users wouldn't undertake.

That said, as soon as I can get to it and have done some more research...I will be posting some links on my main sites. Informing surfers that if they see pop ups or odd looking text links on the site, their systems are compromised. And providing links to removal tools.

Sadly Jim, from what I've seen so far...they're not the only ones doing this. And exactly as Sparky suggested, it's most likely going to get worse before it gets better

All that said, this has given me a business idea I intend to exploit locally. Might as well make a few bucks removing this shit from friends/neighbors and their friends/neighbors computers. Kind of one way of getting some of my lost sales back. Unfortunately, it comes out of the end users pocket...but there's not much I can do about that.

Again, most end users aren't geeky enough to remove this kind of shit. Besides, it always feels good to give someone back a clean system...and get paid for it too
