Before 9/11 I remember hearing a lot of older folks complain that my generation was too inactive politically - that we were so burnt juggling our responsabilities, and so spoiled from our "instant gratification" electronic toys, too few of us felt any reason to get involved in anything.

I can't tell if it's more than however many years ago, but I do notice college students, and their friends, talk politics pretty often, and passionately too. I guess it's pretty easy for a group of people with different backgrounds and perspectives to talk politics when everyone agrees on one thing: Bushinism = Badinism.

Seems to me talking initiates thinking and thinking initiates voting.
