When I originally set up Wordpress on my site, I decided not to install it in the root because I wanted to have a warning page on the root. So I set up a directory and stupidly named it "index2.html" instead of "index2" or "blog". I don't know what I was thinking! And now of course I have a variety of other blogs and directories and such linking to me at
www.militarybadboys.com/index2.html/
This seems to work fine, but I'm concerned that it could lead to search engine problems. I noticed last night that Yahoo and Google indexed my root page (the warning page), but nothing beyond that yet. Is that normal? Is it my stupid directory name causing the problem? Should I fix this and set up the blog under a different directory or is it best to leave it be and not have to hassle with contact about 20 different blog directories with the correct info, or all the other places I posted it.
Grrrr, next time I will look before I leap. This is what happens when you're too eager to become a porn dealer
Thanks,
Gayle
