Once these are up, they are up forever. I bought some nice lcd lights this year that are supposed to last 200,000 hours. Quick calculations tell me if I run them 12 hours/day from thanksgiving until Christmas, they will last about 555 years
We have a slate roof so there really is no way to get on the roof. Hence, the cherry picker
