Well, I had a cruise of your LL last night. A few others as well..but mostly yours.

The basics are obvious, of course. Ya stick thumbs and pics on a site and link to a sponsor and back to the LL's.

I see that the Golden Rule seems to be 2 "galleries" of a very small # of pics. Once in a while i see 3 galleries.

I notice that people split sets of pics up to make up galleries 1 and 2.

Multiple galleries can just hang off one domain.

For some reason people don't put basic navigation on TGP's.

Here's what I don't get- or just some observations...

How come people don't just use somethin' like Dreamweaver's Web Photo Album plug-in? Meaning- is there a specific reason TGP's just let ya click on a thumb and then all you get is the picture- must click the back button a bunch?

Can the basic HTML from the front page carry over into the larger pics if one wanted?

Is there some restriction put on TGP's by LL owners as far as how many links out to the sponsor one can have?

It just seems that people are wasting opportunities by just linking to the image alone.

Why not have some basic HTML and carry the color theme through and have a banner on front page, then perhaps a text link on another pic page, then a different banner on the next pic...some 'witty' copy, etc...

I guess I'm thinking more along the lines of actual mini sites.

I know that for the most part people want to stamp TPG's out like crazy. But, is there any specific reason(s) I can't 'flesh out' a TGP a bit like I mention above? Some weird LL owner rule or somethin'?

Getting the TGP page(s) up is pretty easy - we use Auto Gallery Pro on a lot of our TGP's ($55 for the license, $35 if you want them to install it) You basically make a page, insert their command lines & then throw it into the admin
That's nifty. I suppose there are a lot of scripts around to help Thumbs. Anything bad about using this:

...then just attaching a style sheet to spruce it up a bit?

Getting traffic & submits is the hard part. But then again, that's part of the reason this forum is here
Yeah. Man- there are a lot of LL's. Read a thread about auto submitters and people abusing them. I'll sure start br hand submitting.

I'll submit by PageRank then specialty TGP's.

Are there any hard and fast rules pretty much all the good LL owners like the folks on this board have?

'X' amount of thumbs/galleries/links etc...?

Would it be OK if I had a Virtual Video store and linked to DVD's/VOD's that are along the lines of the Gallery?

Any rules about scoping out a TPG a bit with features like "Rate these pics", or adding a 'comments' script?

One thing I am confused about- I read a couple posts about how often a TGP was updated/refreshed. Hmm.

If a LL puts in a description (even a basic one) then how can someone swap out images?

If pics match multiple categories...

e.g. Asian in pantiehose and high heels stripping down then feet fetish shots. Or Blonde with big tits and toy.

...which category one to pick..the most general...or the most specific?

Does a TGP listing only go into one category on a LL or could a TGP be listed in multiple appropriate categories?

I have all my content stamped with the domain name below...that would still be in the works as I launch the TGP's. If I put a placeholder page with some nice graphics is this *ok*, or would I need to re-stamp all my stuf to something like my Signature below?

The goal of the TGP's would be to:
1) Get my feet wet with some sponsors and LL's
2) Hopefully, generate a few sales as I work on my main project
3) Promote my main project
4) Build up traffic to make the TGP's feeder sites for the main project.
5) Be able to feel out web hosts withuot needing to start on a dedicated box.

I know there's a lot of DO's and more DONT'S that LL owners go by. Don't want to piss anyone off out of ignorance which is why I'm posting here.

I think that's it...for now.

TIA folks...
