Linkster, it seems you missed the message I posted on the index at host4noobs.com. I removed it at it seems UW got pissed by it and that really wasn't my intention...
Basically I explained the things as they are...
I was once a newbie (like 8 years ago). It was very hard to me to achieve success in this industry, due to a lot of reasons, 2 of them beeing:
- I didn't had a credit card at that time to pay for my own hosting/content and stuff
- sponsor programs were reluctant to accept webmasters from my country (Romania).
Nowadays I'm a pretty successful full-time adult webmaster (I make a living out of it). I worked hard for it but I may say I did it.
I decided to help other people as well to follow my business model and achieve success in this industry...
I have 3 newbies in training right now + Blademaster which is the most "advanced"...
Problem is that very few people in my country have credit cards and are able to make internet transactions... So i bought this reseller plan from a hosting company that I work with, to help the newbies that I have under my wing...
They pay me for the hosting service the same amount I paid for it (I don't make a profit out of it) The service I provide is similar with any other entry-level plan from dreamhost, servage etc It may not be the greatest hosting plan, it's a entry level one...
I also provide "my" newbies with help and guidance... They were more than willing to sign up under my affiliate with some of my sponsors... but that has nothing to do with the hosting service... It has to do with the fact that I spend my time with them (give them tutorials, teach them to conduct honest business, even pre-review their free sites).
This way I'm more than willing to help them become successful as their success also puts money into my pocket
I advised them to take the "free site route" for the begining until they find what works best for them and they can further expand...
Now, what I do with my newbies is in no way related with NP and BB (other than the fact that I'm a member of NP board - I'm also a member of GG&Jim, of Medium Pimpin and of Krawl's forum). I also advised them to become members of both NP and GG&Jim cause I'm not available 24/7 (I also have to sleep sometimes
) and these are the places I know where they can ask questions and receive help - business related.
I placed that "Host 4 Noobs.com - the hosting service for Netpond newbies" on the index page because I post the most at NP's newbie board... helping other newbies too... It was never my intention to be related in any way with NP or BB...
And I took down the NP referrence as it seems people tend to relate me with NP because of it...
I do get compensated for the hosting service in my currecy (RON)...
And I conduct a honest business, don't use fake whois's and stuff...
