GG&Jim is not anti-newbie. We may not have the same amount of patience as those sigwhore-led newbie boards, but that doesn't mean we dislike newbies. The webmasters here are busy people, so they don't have the time to spoon feed anyone or be a great motivational source or end every sentence with an exclamation point to encourage you. It's a tough business and all the sugar coating in the world won't change that.
As for language, well yes, a few of us are guilty of pointing out that certain individuals obviously cannot communicate well enough for us to get a sensible reply out of them. Hell, maybe they suck in their own language too.
It's an English speaking board. That's all that really should need to be said about that.
Yes - you should be apologizing to Dave. I doubt it will do anything, but it is always good to acknowledge when you fucked up.
