Went to the bank yesterday to try to get my fees from the Paypal debacle credited back. Went round and round with the branch manager, who adamantly defended that regardless of what the other lady told me last week, the bank was not going to refund the fees, however she might be willing to meet halfway and credit half of the 414 dollars back. But that I'd have to get the money from Paypal as it wasnt the bank that did it... blah blah blah. I grinned and went right along and got her to type a statement on behalf of the bank and all that I needed for Paypal.
After I got the paperwork she asks, "Can I do anything else for you?"
I replied , "Yeah babe, could you close my account? Oh and I'd like the balance in cash please"
After a long pause while she determined that I was serious, she asked, "Large or small bills?"
I smiled real big and said, "Dimes."
I then, after hefting 1000 dollars in dimes around the line, decided I'd rather have 20s and got back in line, then decided I wanted 100s instead, back in line again. After about 3 hours total I left the bank happily with my money.
Today, it's back to Paypal cussing.
