Let's not kid ourselves here. The laws against having sex with animals have nothing to do with concern for the animals' wellbeing. If we cared that much there would be laws against the cruelty that's perpetrated on factory farms, slaughter plants and research labs all over the country against 1000s of animals every day. The pics that Halfdeck posted don't even begin to describe it.
If you're against sex with animals fine, but be straight about it. It's all about moral values, probably mostly based on religion or some philosophical notion that it's against nature.
This thread has deteriorated to name calling, but I think what Trixie says makes sense and you guys are bashing her for the wrong reasons. She's not promoting sex with animals, merely pointing out the hypocrisy of allowing what amounts to massive industrialized torture on the one hand and criminalizing a relatively harmless perversion (however "unnatural" it may be) on the other. I agree with her.
For the record: I live in a house owned by 4 cats and they're all virgins.
