Well damn. The IRS has a lien on my office building I used when I was an electrical contractor and my attorney tried to get the lien pay-off from them because I have an offer on the building. He even faxed them form 8821 which I signed authorizing them to send him the info. His request went through but the form 8821 didn't. His cover letter has in all caps that if any of the pages don't go through the fax to contact his office. They didn't contact him. They figured someone wanted the pay-off info so they sent it to my P.O. Box which I haven't had since 1999
Now, 18 days later I find all this out. The local IRS office is trying to find a way to legally give me the info. They say they can't find anything connectiing me to the company since 1999. |shocking| It was Wood Electrical Contractors, Inc. and I'm G. R. fuckin Wood.
The IRS lady said she would find a way to get me the info within an hour. I'm going back to their office in TWO hours to give her enough time to find a way. My day is fucked.
