I use FireFox and theres multiple ways to bypass that (it's just a lame JavaScript trick..).

First off you can disable JavaScript and refresh the page (Preferences -> Content -> Load Javascript). Or you can get a extension called NoScript which prevents JavaScript from automatically running (nice for some ads, etc).

Or as mentioned above, CTRL + U to view the source, but it's a bit more tedious finding certain things (like images).
