Gnat, if you are building free sites you are probably getting a few signups to. Try using a virtual host if you aren't using one already. If you make 1 signup of $30 you can pay the most basic virtual host for 3 months or so.
Sorry if you already knew this, for all I know you could own your own hosting company or so
