I agree with Ladydesigner, do NOT do a link list by hand, you'll waste SO much time it's unreal. Another suggestion, maybe start a niche links list, just a thought.
As far as making money from a links lists, it really depends on how quickly you can build up and keep traffic to it, I don't see it as a time frame. Course just my opinion...
