I'm going to set up a free blog site, where folks can build blogs (as long as they're not from Alabama. I'm sure it's illegal there). I'm just wondering how important the base domain name is.

I have some domains with a lot of backlinks, but they're not really "short and sweet". I can register new ones, but then there's that whole domain seniority and sandbox thing.

What's more important to w/m's that want to build free blogs? Also, any other gripes about what the current blog hosts are doing that I can AVOID would be appreciated.
