And Lord, we are especially thankful for nuclear power, the cleanest, safest energy source there is. Except for solar, which is just a pipe dream

Hi docholly
I respect you having a husband in the Navy, but let me fill you in on a couple of thoughts.
You say that Bush visiting the troops was a bigger insult than someone burning the flag?
1. tell that to a member of the VFW and see where it gets you about burning the flag
2. Remember that the top of the command chain is the commander and chief, George W. Bush
3. a greater insult would be to elect someone that wrote a book with the Flag upside down on the cover!
I'm not asking anyone to defend there loyality to the US, but anyone that thinks that Bush was the first that thought we should go and take over Iraq didn't pay attention during the last Administration! can you say Somolia?
You talk of the past and we can't do anything about it like we should forget about it and we should focus on the present, ever heard the phrase " those that don't learn from history are doomed to re-live it?"
The fact that we can have a debate like this is due to the freedoms that we enjoy, everone is allowed to voice there opinion and if we don't have due diligence in preserving that freedom, then we'll just be another target.
When I was in the military, I was gone 6 months at a time, going places that I can't tell anybody about. In a vehicle capable of destoying a Naval fleet in the push of a single button. I'm proud of what I did and proud of being a veteran as I'm sure your husband is also!
And as I said before, I don't like war! I wish we never had to go to that extreme, but sometimes......
