The whole televised fight card was poor in my opinion. Very surprised to see Houston Alexander get so easily knocked out. He needs some serious work on his ground game.
Bisping/Evans: I thought this would be a great fight between two of the smaller light heavyweights, but it wasn't. I blame Rashad for that. He needs to stop dancing and start fighting, and Bisping was clearly feeling the pressure from his controversial victory over Hamill. Both fighters look a long way from being top 5 contenders. I think a drop to middleweight for both would see a huge difference though.
I don't think Rashad won this fight - at most he earned a draw. I had the first round to Rashad, second to Bisping, and third to Bisping....just. Very, very close.
Rashad always looks a lot busier than he actually is. He seems to have the tools but didn't use them against Bisping. His wrestling is a strength, but Bisping wasn't troubled by it at all and looked good off his back.
Bisping doesn't seem to have the power to be effective in this weight class. Little strikes that don't really count for much in the fans eyes, but do score. That's why he beat Hamill, in my opinion.
We all love a heavy swinger but those frequent small strikes all count at the end.
Overall the worst UFC event I've seen, but the standard in the UFC is so high these days that I still enjoyed it.
