No, this isn't going to be another Walrus rant on the importance of tagging. If you haven't gotten it yet, I give up!
This is a post to let you know I'm happy with Wordpress again, ie. I found a tagging plug-in that works with the latest version and does almost all of the things UTW did for tagging. It's called
Simple Tags and while I haven't gotten to spend all the time I want to with this plug-in, it does seem to do most of everything I want it to.
In the process, I also found a service that "pieces your site together, intelligently tagging and linking your web content". Why is this cool? For me, I've built a number of splogs having to live without the ability to tag. It's driven me nuts and the traffic numbers have sucked. Now I can resolve that and it should be a good test on exactly how much tagging does help with traffic.
It's cool for just about anyone else because it should be able to tag almost anything so you can add tags to all your sites.
