Hi Walrus,
I noticed that your blog doesn't fit into my oddball computer setup. I am using Firefox on a IBM X41 laptop running Ubuntu Linux. I have to scroll right a bit. My resolution is 1024x768.
From my limited knowledge, I think tags are the way to go. It increases the key word density and Google seems to see that.
Otherwise it looks good to me!
