My brother told me about a guy that was using a drill and got about a 3" patch of scalp taken off, so I'm really lucky. I have one small area, maybe 1/4" that feels like i ripped it all out by the roots. I also have a patch that feels like I took a comb and tried to tease it for about an hour.

I'm noticing now my right shoulder is getting pretty sore...when I think about the position my arm must have gone into when that got yanked up to my head, I'm lucky I didn't dislocate my shoulder pretty bad.

MadHatter and I looked closer when I got calmed down and it looks like the shortest bit is about shoulder length....so if I get it layered I think I can still keep some of it longer. I'm lucky my hair grows pretty fast.

And Bill after I stopped shaking and crying, then heard MadHatter describe the incident from his point of view to my sister, it was pretty funny. You can bet I'll never use any kind of power tools again without putting my hair under a cap.
