...it says Auto Submit Pros and Cons. In otherwords a debatable issue.
I may have made the mistake of asking for the negative side of it, but I opened that door. I have no problem hashing out these issues.
As for alienating anyone - well let me say this - if you enter a debate and you wish to discuss the issue, then you turn around and hate someone cause you chose to enter that debate, well then you to me, are someone I do not want to know anyhow.
So alienate me. I've stood on my own for a long time and I see no real need to find a great deal more "friends" just associates. Those who choose too, will understand the issue and the points of the issue. My one site holds about 500 members strong.
In fact, over the past year, I have averaged at least 1 sign up a day. The target at which I aimed.
Any submissions I have made I get accepted at about 70% of the time. I think this is fairly good.
I get requests from sites to put them on my front pages - that's how many hits they get. But this doesn't make me the best - I would never serve my ego in this fashion, cause I really have none to serve.
When I came into the adult business, it was about helping people and getting help at the same time - at which point it made a turn elsewhere, if it ever did, I do not know.
However, when someone brings up an issue and I do not agree with it, I certainly am not going to hate or alienate them cause the issue and I do not agree. I either avoid the subject altogether or I comment on it and forget it. And definitely am not going to try to convince someone how wrong they are because of their position, all this does is convince them even more of how right they are.
Ramster, yes I understand your point and the thing about gathering emails and writing to people, even though it is a valid business proposition, I feel it is like spamming. So I felt bringing it out in a public form was much better. This one here cause this is where most of the LL owner's hang out.
Now about the rules - again, just prior to submission on the script I was working on, it clearly says, familiarize yourself with the rules here. Get recip buttons here. "Make sure you know what people want and eveyone will be happy". I would like to see honest webmasters getting involved who have honest submitters.
Yet, we all get bad seeds occassionally. These bads seeds under this program will be weeded out, to never get in again. So really it is not a bad idea. Much like standard submitter says by webmasters for webmasters, but also for good submitters and nothing more.
Which eventually, you will see a pool of excellent submitters and will not need to allow any new ones in - unless neccessary.
And those are the days of our lives!
Nick
P.S. Debate is cool Surfn and no one is trying to alienate anyone. In fact i got a couple good responses from this thread already.
